1: The Global Opportunity (Summary)
OKX Pay evolved from a localized technical utility into a core feature handling high-traffic transactions across Brazil, Singapore, the EU and the US.
As the co-lead content designer, I supported a dual-product framework: a retail merchant network (C2B) for the Singapore market and a direct social transfer system (P2P) for western and LATAM regions. By translating complex engineering processes into intuitive retail banking language, we stripped out the traditional intimidation barriers of digital asset mobility.
2: Singapore Scan to Pay (C2B Point-of-Sale)
2: Singapore Scan to Pay (C2B Point-of-Sale)
To keep the retail checkout experience completely smooth, I focused on making the payment language clear right at the cash register. Instead of confusing users with real-time crypto-to-fiat conversion math while they are standing in a physical checkout line, the confirmation screen tells them exactly which stablecoins (USDT or USDC) will be deducted from their balance, while confirming that the merchant receives local Singapore Dollars instantly.
This takes the mental math tax entirely off the consumer. It makes spending digital assets at cafes, shops and local stalls feel just as straightforward as scanning a standard digital mobile wallet.
3: Global Peer-to-Peer Transfers (US, EU and BR)
Moving digital assets on-chain historically required users to interact with complex wallet addresses, where a single character typo results in permanent loss of funds. For the rollouts across Brazil, the European Union and the United States, we introduced direct, fee-free account-to-account transfers via phone number or email address.
I structured the interface messaging entirely around standard personal identifiers: phone numbers, email addresses, or an OKX account number. The platform handles the cryptographic ledger mapping invisibly behind the scenes, allowing mainstream users to locate friends and move funds safely through a familiar social contact directory.

5: Operational Rigor and Quality Enforcement
With over 600 content keys scaling across distinct international markets, visual regression and layout breaks are a constant threat to product conversion. Prior to regional production staging windows, I drove end-to-end pre-release quality assurance sweeps across both iOS and Android staging builds.
By manually stress-testing text scaling, regional disclosure strings and error states, I identified and resolved over 10 critical visual and interaction bugs before they reached end-users. To insulate our customer support queues from predictable edge-case confusion, I also co-authored comprehensive external user guidance and FAQ modules to support the global product rollout lifecycle.
